When it came to the restoration of One Harbour Place on Harbour Island, Tampa, Conley Design Group and the owner had a problem: either hire a general contractor who could in turn hire a handful of subcontractors or find a single full service contractor who could actually self perform the wide variety of restoration tasks presently required. Enter Service Painting Corporation!
Because Service Painting Corporation is a fully licensed general contractor and experts in the many disciplines of restoration we were able to provide this owner “one stop shopping” for their many needs.
This project, with a contract value of approximately $900,000 was performed in a 6 month period.
Scope of Work:
- Clean masonry walls in preparation to install water repellants and elastomeric coatings.
- Remove and replace 46,000 bricks.
- Repoint open and deteriorated mortar joints in brick masonry.
- Install new metal coping at top of brick walls.
- Apply water repellants to brick masonry.
- Apply elastomeric coatings CMU masonry.
- Apply new surface applied flashing to perimeter garage walls. (10,000 linear feet).
- Repair non-structural spalls at concrete beams.
- Install new sealants at all masonry to masonry, masonry to dissimilar material joints required for a watertight installation (40,000 linear feet).
