When Tishman built these hotels in the late 1980’s Service Painting Corporation recognized and seized the opportunity to provide the Theming and Graphics Services on the largest graphics project ever performed on Disney Worlds property.
The layout and multi-coloring effects on the eight story palm fronds and six story waves was indeed a unique challenge! Service Painting Corporation received multiple awards for our performance and finished product on this project.
2005/2006 Update:
Service Painting Corporation has just began a $1,000,000 renovation of this entire facility. Our customer, Tishman Hotel Corp, chose Service Painting Corporation based on our abilities and credentials. Price, although important, is not always the determining factor when awarding a project of this nature.
The scope of work for this project included:
- Removing and replacing all existing sealants at door and window perimeters, expansion and control joints
- Dynamic and static EIFS crack repair
- Prep, prime and paint all EFIS, balcpny handrail, doors and frames
The peak of the A-Frame at the Dolphin is approx. 270' high!
